- My name is the product of a disagreement. I went nameless for three days and my parents arrived at Jessica/ Jessa because they hated all others. To this day – Dad only called me Jessica and my Mom only calls me Jessa. (Except if I was in trouble.)
- My first car was an Oldsmobile Alero. It was a 99’ and it was white. I inherited it from my older brother who had leased it.

- My second car was a white 03’ Honda Civic after the Alero was traded in. I was originally told I’d have a used car, but since I kept my mouth shut, I let my Dad talk himself into buying a brand new car.

- I’m LDS. (Mormon.)
- My husband is only 3 years older than me. However, he looks older than his age and I look young for my age – so we’re often confused as siblings. It’s weird. Also, when people find out we’re married, my husband gets the stink eye because people assume he’s a cradle robber. Once I was confused for his daughter…but in our defense, the confused person wasn’t very bright.
- I’m afraid of heights. I always have been. It wasn’t until I was 24 that I was finally able to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland…for the first time ever. Splash Mountain still scared me and The Tower of Terror made me think I was going to die.
- I was a cheerleader in high school. Make as many jokes as you want – I loved it.
- I have two brothers, one sister, two brothers in law, three sisters in law, two nephews, three nieces and one niece/ nephew on the way. I’m my parent’s second child. And I married my in law’s baby. Confused? Me too.
- I live in a condo right now and I dream of having a house with a big backyard.
- I’m not a morning person. At all. Whatsoever. I don’t speak English until well after 9 a.m. and usually skip breakfast if it means I can sleep for five more minutes. I’m horrible in the morning.
- I don’t have children yet. I don’t have pets either. They’re on the to-do list for “a later date.”
- My favorite TV show of all time was Friends. I cried during the last episode because I was so sad to see it go. I’m also an expert in Friends trivia.

- I’ve already gone on my dream vacation! I went to Italy last summer and it was amazing! I hope to go again one day!

- I love Vanilla coke and Cherry Limades from Sonic.
- My birthday is 3/21. I tell people the easy way to remember it is counting back from three, 3-2-1. Many people remember my birthday – even if they don’t want to.
- I really, really, really dislike grocery shopping.
- I can’t sleep with the closet door open. It freaks me out. My husband makes fun of me for it.
- I usually make a big breakfast every weekend. It didn’t start out as a tradition, but now it’s expected.
- According to the last time I was tested, I type 82 wpm.
- I have a weird thing about not standing too close to microwaves. I don’t trust them.

- I’ve been stung by a jelly fish. Luckily there are many types of jelly fish, mild to poisonous. I was stung by a mild jelly fish, so nobody peed on anyone that day.

- I don’t like seafood. It makes me cringe. The only seafood I can handle is shrimp and tuna fish.
- I can’t hide my emotions on my face. I don’t know why. It makes it hard to lie. It also makes for a pretty awkward situation too.
- I have a debilitating fear of sharks. I’ve had recurring nightmares about them since I can remember. My husband makes me watch shark week because he thinks it’ll help me face the fear but it’s very stressful for me. In Hawaii I went snorkeling and ended up hyperventilating because I kept worrying a shark would swim by. I ended up needing to use a water noodle like the little kids in our group because I couldn’t stay afloat with all the hyperventilating.

- My husband has 500+ nicknames for me and adds to the list every day. I think he loves to get a rise out of me so usually they’re disgusting or insanely weird.

25 Things...
I read US Weekly from time to time and they started articles based off of a Facebook idea. It's called the "25 Things You Don't Know About Me," and usually they're about celebrities. I thought it'd be fun to list some of mine, even though I'm not as interesting as those people.

Buy today!
For anyone who is a fan of the "Mortal Instruments" series by Cassandra Clare...

The fourth book came out today. The good news is that you can purchase it on Amazon if you don't have a Literati. The bad news is if you have a literati, you have to wait for Kobo freaking get their act together...

If you haven't ready ANY of these books, I would suggest them. But ONLY if you don't mind fantasy fiction.
You kind of have to read the first three books AND A Clockwork Angel for this book to make any sense...sorry.
Oh - fun fact:
They're making a movie out of this series! See here for details.

Spring Craft Crushes
Normally, I try not to decorate in themes. Don't get me wrong, I decorate for Christmas...like nobody's business. (I go ape.) But other than that, I don't decorate in holiday themes. Well, not yet anyway. I know that when I have kids that'll change, but for now it just doesn't happen. It might have something to do with the fact that I don't decide what I want to do until well after the holiday is over...
What I do is try to decorate with the seasons. I have a few "Fall" related items. I have mod podged letters for "Fall," and a couple of cute pumpkins to place here and there. I'm also planning on doing a leaf garland somewhere too this year.
This year I'm definitely buying some more letters to mod podge in Spring themes. There are a couple summer crafts planned too. Then after my morning ritual of blog stalking, I came across these gems:
Found at Eighteen 25.
Those are PICKLE JARS! How incredibly creative is that?! And the nice part is that you can do whatever you want in there...personally I'd stuff one full of Cadbury Mini Eggs. They'd be gone in 3 days...if that. And they're totally reusable year-round. (Think tiny ornaments for Christmas.)

Found at Lemontree Creations.
Again - so easy and so creative. These are your run-of-the-mill plastic eggs with book pages. And you can pick up cheap books at the DI for cents. Just make sure you steer clear of romance novels...unless you like reading about naughty trysts on your Easter eggs. (I feel "That's what she said" coming on.)

I died when I saw these. I love simple and creative projects like this. I also love Cadbury Mini Eggs...why did I have to mention those? Now they're all I can think of.

Ultimate Blog Party: 2011
5 Minutes for Mom is partying it up Vladnik style. (Name that reference) Basically a get-to-know you free for all. And it starts today and ends the 8th. You should really check it out!And so we begin:

Hi!
I'm Jessa. It's short for Jessica but usually only telemarketers call me that. I'm from Utah - born and raised! I waste A LOT of time catching up on blogs and online browsing. I say browsing because it's usually just wishful thinking. I blog about my favorites and fun finds. I'll blog about other things that make me happy from time to time too. I'm addicted to decor, food, life, craft and family blogs. It should be categorized under: disease. I love photography as a hobby. I still have a lot to learn but my best friend is my Canon DSLR camera, Lola. I haven't blogged about her yet, but I will one day. She's sassy.
I love my faith, family, friends, crafts, photography, decor ideas, and witty writing. Please see my favorites link up top - you'll know what I mean.
I got married December 13, 2008 during a snow storm. Aside from the miserable weather, the day was the best because I literally married my best friend. (No seriously - we we really were friends before we started dating.) He makes me smile just thinking about him. I'd rather be with him than anywhere else. He's probably one of the world's biggest Boise State Football fans...alive? From September to January he's in full blown, Orange and Blue, Football crazy mode. We'll usually travel to see them a couple times a year. I think I've been made a fan by proxy - but I have to admit, I like them. Coach Pete is crazy awesome. So is Kellen Moore. Some things to note around here:
What I Want Wednesday : this is the day that I tell you about my newest crushes online. Usually it's clothes but from time to time I'll tell you about other things I'm obsessing over.
Shoes: They pop up constantly all over, whether I'm participating in Peace, Love & Applesauce's Friday Shoegasm, or if I found some out of the blue to share and sigh over. (She's a freaking genius to have a place to gather and gush about shoes.)
You can find me on Twitter, Good Reads, and Blog Lovin' too!

About Me
It's that time again!
Friday - finally! I can't tell you how excited I am for the weekend. Even though I'm planning a giant scrub down of my place, it's going to be nice once it's done. It must be done - my bedroom looks like a bomb went off. Also - I'm on a mission to find where all the socks went. Wish me luck.
Once again I'm participating in the Friday Shoegasm because I can't get enough.
These are L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani. I can't afford them, but I can look at them...and they look pretty.
Found here.
