Ebay-tastic!

Have you ever gone into a little obscure shop, one that looked like it wouldn't have a single thing that appealed to you, but you did it anyway?

Sometimes these little boutiques/ shops really are what they seem to be, but other times you find something fabulous that you have to have.

For me, that's what its like shopping on Ebay. If you know what you're looking for, you'll be just fine. But if you're just searching for something new, you're going to have to dig. I actually found my favorite pair of shoes on Ebay.

They're not really available anymore so I can't find a picture as an example, but they're beautiful black platform slingback heels. The top of the shoe has faux ruched leather that comes to a slight point. They were $30 and that included shipping. I honestly get compliments on them all the time - strangers have even stopped me to ask where I got them.

Anyway, if you know what you want, you can find them easily. Go ahead, type in the search box "Christian Louboutin shoes," or "Jessica Simpson shoes," and you won't be disappointed. (With the Louboutin's - I mostly just stare. I couldn't purchase even if I wanted to.)

If you go onto Ebay and search for "Naughty Monkey," you'll likely pull up beauties like these:

Ones that make you picture outfits like a work suit with these babies for a pop of color. Or maybe you can put them with a little black dress. I love the houndstooth.

But sometimes you go on there just looking for something new. The lovely part is that you can narrow down your search easily by style, color, size, etc.

I happened to search for wedges. And I found these fun shoes:

Then I looked for some platforms and thought these were just adorable:

But then you also find something like this:

For which there are no words. Just....no words.

Also: please visit the plethora of hooker shoes if you're in a fanciful mood.

One thing's for sure: Ebay is always good for some quality shoe entertainment.

"I buy everything on ebay! It doesn't count if you're wearing Mark Jacobs from Minneapolis!"

*Name that quote!

Back! & A day late but doing it anyway!

I had a FABULOUS time in Alabama and I'm still trying get back into the swing of things! I got in a little after midnight last night. My favorite part of the flight was the layover in Las Vegas. Now, remember - I live in Utah...so I had to fly PAST my home state to have a layover. Really, Southwest? Really?

We hung out in the Birmingham/ Hoover/ Talladega areas of Alabama and it was awesome. The 80 degree sunny weather made it really hard coming back to the rainy and possible snow here. We ate...and ate, and ate, and ate the entire time. I had some of the best food...ever. Why doesn't Utah have a Longhorn's Steakhouse? Who dropped the ball on that one?!

Which leaves me to my "What I Want Wednesday" selections...even though it's Thursday:

Found here.

Before I left, my husband and I were hitting the gym 4-5 times a week for about an hour and a half. I was seeing results...but after our trip all of that hard work went down the drain. So my focus must be put back on working out! And this top is really cute.

Found here.
I'm always looking for workout tops that I don't hate. I like the colors on this one.

Found here.
I really like the stripes, but I'm not sure they'd be flattering...
Found here.
These are hot. The price...not so much, but I love these.

Found here.
I'm always a fan of new yoga pants. They're all I work out in...and sleep in...and lounge around in. And these are cute!
Found here.
Again with the yoga pants...I love em.

Cafe Rio Grilled Chicken Salad

Now I'm not saying this is particularly healthy...but it's coming up on lunchtime and a Cafe Rio salad sounds AMAZING!!!

I'm straight cheating here but I could go for a couple of these too.

Found here.
And because I can't seem to help myself...these would be fun to own as well.

Away...

Tomorrow I'm heading out of town. I won't be here to blog...about nothing. I DO have upcoming projects. Ones that involve a complete re-do of my bedroom wall-art that includes mod podge, scrapbook paper and paint. I am planning on doing a copy cat craft of a ruffled lamp shade to my bedroom lamps. I'm also planning on putting up a tutorial on how I make my favorite hair clips and head bands. I realize these tutorials are everywhere...but one more can't hurt, right?

In the mean time...look at these shoes:

These were found at Shoe Carnival!

Since I'm going to be in an airplane for most of the day tomorrow, I won't be able to participate in the Friday Shoegasm...but I think I'd link these up because they're so cute.

I was also looking at these:

Steve Madden

Jessica Simpson

A good nude/ beige heel is essential to a woman's closet, I think. Especially with the following outfit:

Shabby Apple Dress

Found at Charlotte Russe
Found at DSW
This is ADORABLE!

What I Want Wednesday: 3/16/2011

Today I was searching for more shoes for Spring. I'm very excited. I'm also trying for more solid pieces that I can wear with a lot too. I like to really stretch my closet.

Found here.
These also come in black and light pink. They're also under $20. That's my kind of shoe.

Found here.
I really think it's awesome that Tom's Shoes matches each shoe purchase to give them to a child in need. And if you're going to get some Tom's you might as well get some that sparkle, right?

Found here.
I know this is long sleeve and it's soon going to be too warm to wear this, but I think this is one of the first button up shirts I've really had a crush on without looking too "lumberjack" for me.
Found here.
Like I said - I'm all about "staples" to your wardrobe!

Found here.
How cute are these?! AND they're under $40.

Found here.
I think this is ADORABLE and it would go with a ton of different outfits and looks.

Found here.
I've just barely come to embrace skinny jeans. I realize I'm behind, but it takes me a while to accept new fashion...I'm very stubborn.

Found here.
I normally don't like big embellishments like this but I think with the right cardigan, it could be a really cute outfit.

Another find at Charlotte Russe.
I'm currently looking for a good "night out" outfit. It's very rare but occasionally when my husband and I are on vacation...we go dancing. And I have zero outfits to do that in. I would pair this top with a blazer, skinny jeans and some serious heels.

Possibly this one - found at Forever 21.
Found here.
I think these would make great every day shoes. I like the jersey knit on them too.

Well that's all for today...what are some of your finds?

Packing.

I'm leaving for Alabama on Friday for a quick trip to visit some family. This will be my first time to Alabama and I'm excited to take it all in! Apparently I'm in for all kinds of fun. There will be four wheeling and shooting and lots of outdoor activities so I'm hoping like crazy that it won't rain! The forecast is predicting some, but I've learned never believe the weather 100%.

Unfortunately my suitcase was busted last year in Italy, by whom I can't be sure, but when I got off the plane in Milan, the zipper was so busted that it wouldn't open except for in the corner. It made unpacking and repacking very pleasant. I'm hoping to maybe pick up a cheap carry on if I can find one. I might scour Ross' or TJ Maxx to see what they have in store but I wouldn't mind a cute bag like the one shown up top for under $40? I'm dreaming, I know but I really don't like buying luggage! Especially when it's not used very much!

Do you know what else I wouldn't mind to pack some things in?

Some of these:

These zippered pouches are from The Pleated Poppy and it'd be an adorable place to store make up and other tiny packable things.
Found here.
I don't normally like animal print but this one is ADORABLE.

Found here.
I love the gray and green together.
Found here.
I love the fabric she uses.
Found here.
How cute is the chevron pattern?

And these won't serve any purpose to my packing other than they're cute to look at...and I want them.

Found here.
I think I'd just be happy to look into my purse and see this cute and bright fabric.

Found here.
I love these fabrics together. Have I mentioned how much I love the ruffles on these?

Found here.
This also serves zero packing purpose but its really cute.

Found here.
These are SO cute. If these were a little bigger I would have ordered one a while ago. You know, longer, with the ability to hold more useless crap that for some reason I can't throw out? Such as Cafe Rio punch cards and Subway club cards and 20 useless pennies?
I LOVE these colors together.

Last but not least - how cute is this little tissue carrier?!

Alright...I'm done now. I have to stop myself before I get too carried away.

Claiming Myself

Follow my blog with bloglovin

I've got a blog lovin...and I'm still trying to figure out what exactly that means...

Yep...I'm one of those...

Not a polygamist. But I LOVE the show. I'm not entirely sure why...but dinner was postponed due to the fact that I couldn't miss a second of this premiere last night. My husband was not pleased.

This is where you comment and tell me to get a life. It's ok...I know it's coming.
